Police lift lockdown at Central Nine Career Center after searching for mentally-ill runaway

GREENWOOD, Ind.– The Central Nine Career Center in Greenwood was on a precautionary lockdown Monday, police say.

The lockdown was initiated around 11:30 a.m. due to reports of a runaway who is mentally ill spotted in the area. Police say 15–20 officers were searching in and around the school.

Police did a sweep of the school and lifted the lockdown around 2 p.m.

No other details were released.
