SAN FRANCISCO, Cal. ( March 1, 2016)– Donald Trump’s run for president may have Americans divided on whether to love him or hate him, but according to CBS Television Chairman, Les Moonves, his run for the oval office is great for CBS TV as far as generating ad revenue.

Moonves made those comments while speaking at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media & Telecom Conference in San Francisco Monday afternoon as reported by various media sources.

“Most of the ads are not about issues. They’re sort of like the debates,” Moonves said, noting, “there’s a lot of money in the marketplace.”

“The 2016 campaign is a circus,” he remarked, but “Donald’s place in this election is a good thing.”

Moonves remarked that this election season has been back and forth with attacks on Trump by his opponents and with Trump retaliating  and that has kept Americans interested.

“It may not be good for America, but it’s damn good for CBS,” he said.
