INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 11, 2015)– Teammates and friends continue to honor a Cathedral High School sophomore after her sudden death.

The school held prayer services Friday morning as students shared their favorite quotes and memories of Jennifer Maginot in sidewalk chalk outside– a showing of love and support from more than 1,000 teens.

Her cross country teammates are honoring jennifer with bracelets they made. She was a star team member and her closest friends remember her for always being kind, energetic and positive.

“She was just always wanting to make everyone feel better about themselves,” said senior Ashley Yuska. “She wanted them to have a great day.”

Many students talked about the amount of support shown by the students.

“She just always had such a positive attitude,” said senior Katherine Free. “The whole school feels the pain…it’s nice to have each other to lean on.”

“I think she would be proud of us and the fact that we’re just sticking together,” said junior Anna Graves.

The wake is Sunday and a mass will be held Monday at the school. No classes are scheduled for next week at Cathedral High School because of exams.

An official cause of death for Maginot has not yet been released.
