NOBLESVILLE, Ind. – Primanti Bros. will open its new Noblesville location Wednesday, and the first 100 customers will get free sandwiches for a year.
The Pittsburgh-based chain is famous for topping its sandwiches with fries and coleslaw. The Noblesville location at 13871 Cabela Parkway is the chain’s 33rd restaurant.
Customers got things started early with a tailgate party at 5 a.m. featuring food, drinks, games and a parking lot DJ. The first 100 tailgaters will get to go inside the restaurant at noon and will become members of the Noblesville 100 Club, which means they’ll enjoy a year’s supply of free sandwiches.
After the doors open for the new members of the Noblesville 100 Club, the restaurant will close for a few hours before opening to the general public in the afternoon.
Primanti Bros. is a dining institution in Pittsburgh, and its “Almost Famous” sandwich is nationally known. The sandwich includes Italian bread “piled high with a choice of grilled meat, an optional egg, secret recipe coleslaw, fresh-cut fries and two tomato slices.”
Unlike the original Primanti Bros., which started in 1933 as a lunch cart, the Noblesville location will be a full-service restaurant with a bar, televisions and indoor/outdoor patio.
The chain also announced plans to open a location in the Circle Centre Mall in downtown Indianapolis during the fall.
