NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (August 6, 2015)- People all across central Indiana will soon have a new reason to visit Hamilton County.

Cabela’s, a major outdoor retailer, is set to open a new store in Noblesville at the end of August.

Currently, the only Cabela’s store in Indiana is in Hammond.

That’s why the company expects people from all over to travel to Hamilton County just to shop at this specialty store.

The store was initially set to open in Greenwood, but the company decided to build in Noblesville citing economic reasons.

The store is 82,000 square feet and is filled with everything you need for any type of outdoor adventure.

The company hired close to 200 people locally to run its Noblesville store.

Cabela’s looks for workers with a special set of skills, which is why it says it offers competitive compensation to its employees.

“If they’re passionate about what they’re doing and they know the subject matter well, we’re really excited to bring them in the door and offer them a pretty generous wage,” said Collin Hendron, one of the store’s managers.

There are still some full-time and part-time positions open at the new Noblesville store.

Anyone interested in working at the store should apply online at cabelas.com.

The grand opening for the Noblesville store is Thursday, August 20 at 10 a.m.
