Amber Alert teen located at local bus station, suspect in custody

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 12, 2015)–A 16-year-old girl that was the subject of an Amber Alert out of New Mexico has been located safe in Indianapolis.

The girl, Andrea Lucero was missing from Rio Rancho New Mexico.  She was believed to been taken against her will by 37-year-old Joe Medina.  Medina was taken into custody by State Police.

The recovery came Sunday around 6:45 p.m.  at the downtown Greyhound Bus Station.  Indiana State Police  received word from Missouri State Police that the bus would be making its next stop in Indianapolis and that they would find both on board.

Police are continuing to investigate.  This story will be updated when new details become available.
