COLUMBUS, Ind.– Columbus police arrested five people over the weekend following multiple complaints about suspicious activity.

Officers arrived at an apartment around 12 a.m. Saturday for a welfare check on one of the residents. After entering the front door, the officers say Brittnee Bryant, 24, was found inside. She had a warrant out for her arrest and was taken into custody on preliminary charges of visiting a common nuisance and failure to appear on initial charge of battery.

Scott Bryant, 50 and Courtney Bullington, 26 were also found inside a bedroom the apartment. Police discovered a syringe and other drug paraphernalia in the room. He was arrested on charges of visiting a common nuisance, possession of a legend drug injection device and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Yvette Bryant, 29, was found hiding in a bedroom closet. Officers found a bag containing syringes and additional drug paraphernalia. She was taken into custody on preliminary charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a legend drug injection device, visiting a common nuisance and failure to appear on initial charges of conversion, unauthorized entry of motor vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.

The resident of the apartment, Charles Jeffers, 57, was also taken into custody for maintaining a common nuisance.
