12-year-old boy pulled from Plainfield creek, sent to hospital

PLAINFIELD, Ind. – A 12-year-old boy was sent to the hospital after being pulled from White Lick Creek in Plainfield Sunday.

Police say it happened around 4:24 p.m. at Hummel Park at 1500 South Center Street.

Officials say the boy was initially pulled out of the water and onto the creek bank. He was reportedly breathing on his own.

He was transported to Hendricks Regional Hospital.

Police say the boy’s parents were on scene when the incident happened.
