LAFAYETTE, Ind. — An autopsy report found no signs of trauma after a one-year-old boy died inside a Lafayette residence Monday afternoon.
Officers with the Lafayette Police Department were dispatched to a residence on Union Street around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 14 in response to reports of a child not breathing.
The child was pronounced deceased and the Tippecanoe County Coroner’s Office conducted an autopsy the following day on Tuesday, Aug. 15. The report preliminarily found no signs of trauma for the boy’s cause of death.
The manner of death is pending toxicology and histology results.
