UPDATE: The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department said the missing 14-year-old has been found safe in Attica. It is not clear at this time if the person of interest has been taken into custody.
GEORGETOWN, Ind. — A statewide Silver Alert has been issued for a 14-year-old missing from southern Indiana who police said was in extreme danger.
According to Indiana State Police, the teenager was last seen on Monday at around 1 a.m. in the morning. She is missing from Georgetown, not far from Louisville.
The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department named 18-year-old Terry Ross, Jr. as a person of interest who may have knowledge of girl’s last whereabouts. Ross was possibly last seen with the girl in the southern Indiana area, according to the sheriff’s department.
Hoosiers statewide are asked to keep an eye out for the girl and Ross, however.
