INDIANAPOLIS – A man died in a Monday morning shooting on the east side of Indianapolis.
According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers were dispatched around 6:30 a.m. Monday to the 3400 block of N. Emerson Ave. in response to reports that a person had been shot. The address is near a gas station.
They found a man at the scene suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound. He was taken to an area hospital, where he died shortly after arrival.
Investigators believe the shooting actually happened in the 2800 block of North Stuart Avenue during a “disturbance between the victim and an unknown person.”
The Marion County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 54-year-old David Gladney.
