  • Man found dead in alley following early morning shooting

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Police are investigating after a fatal shooting Saturday morning. Crews were dispatched to the scene near Caroline Ave and E. 29th St just before 8 a.m. where a man was found dead in the alley east of Caroline Ave. Police say he appeared to have a pair of gunshot wounds. On Monday, the victim was identified as 28-year-old Dorian Davis.

  • Investigation underway after body found on city’s east side

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Police are investigating after a body was found on North Mitthoefer Rd Sunday morning. The body was discovered just after 7:30 a.m. on the 3500 block. Police believe the person may have been the victim of a hit-and-run accident. On Monday, the victim was identified as Michael Jackson, 23. No further information has been released.

  • PHOTOS: Memorial grows at site of fatal Branson boat accident

    BRANSON, Missouri —  A memorial for victims of a deadly boating accident is growing outside of “Ride the Ducks Branson.” 17 people were killed when the boat they were in sank in rough waters. 9 of the victims were all members of an Indianapolis family. Members of the Bartholomew County Water Rescue Team found the body Saturday morning in the east fork of the White River. He was swept away from a sandbar at Mill Race Park earlier this week.   • UPDATE: Victim in crash on I-65 in Whitestown identified

    WHITESTOWN, Ind. — Officials say an early morning accident on I-65 southbound claimed the life of one person. The accident happened around 5:30 near mile marker 131 in the Whitestown area. A four door sedan that was stalled in the far right lane of I-65 was struck by another vehicle, a Toyota 4 Runner.     JEFFERSON, La. – A woman who bit a Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s officer during an earlier struggle slammed into two Sheriff’s Office vehicles after a wild police chase Thursday morning. The unidentified driver was reported missing along with her three children around 2 a.m. by her husband, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies located the woman, and a struggle ensued.
