Megan Trent joined the FOX59 news team as a reporter in July 2014. Before coming to Indianapolis, Megan was the evening anchor for NBC33 in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She grew up in Gaston, Ind. and graduated with honors from Ball State University in 2008, with a degree in telecommunications. After graduation, Megan worked as a freelance reporter for Indiana Public Radio until being hired as a multimedia journalist at Indiana’s NewsCenter in Fort Wayne, Ind. Megan worked as an MMJ from 2010 until 2012, when she was promoted to anchor for the station’s My Fox Fort Wayne 10:00 p.m. broadcast. In 2013, she began anchoring the station’s 4:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. NBC33 broadcasts.
As a lifelong Hoosier, Megan says coming to the Circle City has been an exciting and fulfilling experience. She looks forward to building lasting connections with the people of central Indiana and telling stories that make a difference. She says it’s important for Fox59 to be the station people trust as they move throughout their busy lives.
