
Kristen Eskow joined CBS4 as the Statehouse reporter in May 2021. Her stories also appear on our sister stations across Indiana.
Before arriving in Indianapolis, Kristen was a reporter for WDTN-TV, the NBC affiliate in Dayton, Ohio. During her time in the Miami Valley, Kristen covered the August 2019 mass shooting in Dayton’s Oregon District.
She was also her station’s first reporter on the scene of damage from the Dayton-area Memorial Day tornado outbreak earlier that year. In addition, Kristen covered local Congressional races, the 2018 Ohio gubernatorial election and several presidential rallies.
Prior to working in Dayton, Kristen was a multimedia journalist and fill-in anchor at WFXR News, the Fox affiliate in Roanoke, Va. Aside from her reporting on Virginia politics, she also covered the aftermath of the 2016 West Virginia flood.
Kristen studied broadcast journalism at Syracuse University, where she graduated summa cum laude. Her work as a student journalist was recognized by the Syracuse Press Club and the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters Association.
In her spare time, Kristen enjoys traveling, baking and getting outdoors. She is a native of New Jersey.
