Eric Pointer joined the CBS4 team in September 2020 as a morning reporter.
Before moving to Indy, Eric worked in Roanoke, Virginia, where he covered Hurricanes Michael and Florence, and the nationwide manhunt for Marine deserter and murder suspect Michael Brown.
He graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in telecommunications & media studies and a minor in journalism.
With a father in the Air Force, Eric was able to live all over the world but will always claim Fort Worth, Texas as his hometown.
He does root for the Colts and Pacers but says he’ll be a Cowboys, Mavericks and Rangers fan until the day he dies.
When he’s not in the field you can find him trying things in the kitchen or checking out new food spots. He’s always looking for new recipes or restaurant suggestions!
