    INDIANAPOLIS – All lanes of eastbound I-70 were closed early Tuesday after a semi went up in flames. State Police officers responded to the blaze on I-70 near Shadeland Avenue shortly before 2:30 a.m. Firefighters believe the fire started because of a mechanical issue in the cab of the truck.     INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department literally came under fire by a gunman late Tuesday night.   • Semi carrying cookie dough catches fire on I-465, creates Tuesday traffic nightmare

    INDIANAPOLIS – Fire crews are on scene of a semi fire on southbound I-465 near Shadeland Avenue and Fall Creek Road. Crews responded to the fire shortly after 4 a.m. Tuesday and found a semi carrying cookies and cookie dough fully engulfed in flames. The fire is blocking three southbound lanes on I-465 and traffic in the area is slow-moving. Southbound lanes of the Shadeland overpass are also closed.     CARROLL COUNTY, Ind. – Officers with the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department were called to a woman’s home after an unusual guest wandered into her yard. Deputies responded to the call around 11:30 p.m. Monday. According to officers, a woman’s dog was barking outside.     INDIANAPOLIS – A man was killed after officers say he crashed his motor scooter on the city’s near northwest side early Monday morning.     BOONE COUNTY, Ind. – State Road 32 in Boone County re-opened around 8 a.m. after closing for nearly seven hours when a semi hauling livestock overturned early Friday morning.   • Firefighters battle blaze at northwest side apartment complex

    INDIANAPOLIS – Fire crews are on scene of a large apartment fire on Indy’s northwest side. Fire crews were called to a fire in the 6000 block of Wingedfoot Court around 3:30 a.m. When they arrived on scene, firefighters say they found heavy flames showing from one side of an apartment building. Crews are working to extinguish the flames. No injuries have been reported at this point.

  • Silver Alert cancelled after missing Richmond man found

    UPDATE: Indiana State Police said George W. Surber has been found. The Silver Alert has been cancelled at the request of the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department.
