Adam Unger joined the CBS4 sports team in late June 2022 and immediately felt a sense of Hoosier Hospitality. After spending all of his life prior in the Snow Belt, Adam relishes the “mild” Indianapolis winters.
His most recent stop was in Buffalo, New York, where he covered the Bills, the Sabres, the high school scene, and everything in between.
Prior to that, he studied broadcast and digital journalism at Syracuse University, appearing on the student television station, CitrusTV, and the ACC Network Extra covering the Orange. He spent summers interning at Spectrum Sportsnet Ohio in Columbus and with the Syracuse Spartans of the New York Collegiate Baseball League.
Adam grew up Orange — both of his parents also went to Syracuse. He grew up in Erie, Pennsylvania, and has aspired to be a sports broadcaster since he was just a little kid.
In high school, he played the drums in his alma mater’s jazz band and played defense on the lacrosse team.
If he’s not in the studio, on the sidelines, or at the Speedway, you can probably find him walking his puppy, Momo. Adam and his fiancée also have a cat named Luna. They’re always looking for new spots in central Indiana to explore!
