Death of man found outside northeast side apartment complex investigated as homicide
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) is investigating the death of a man found on the northeast side as a homicide.
After receiving a call, officers responded to the scene in the 5000 block of Roselawn Drive at about 1:30 p.m. Friday.
According to police, the caller stated there was a deceased person at the location. Officers discovered a deceased adult male outside, near an abandoned apartment complex.
Homicide detectives arrived and began canvassing the area for evidence. Police say this is an active and ongoing investigation.
During an autopsy, the Marion County Coroner’s Office determined the victim had been shot. His identity has not yet been released.
