Central Indiana’s heat wave will continue through July 4th
Our first heat wave of the Summer continues. Indianapolis averages nineteen, 90-degree days a year. Tuesday was our fourth 90-degree day in a row. During this stretch of warm weather rain chances have been minimal.
Over the next seven days we’ll see daily chances for a widely scattered t-storm or two but no major organized rainfall is in the forecast. The combination of warm temperatures and high humidity will keep afternoon heat index values into the middle and upper 90s.
Days grow shorter during July.
July is our warmest month of the year.
