UPDATE: Silver Alert issued for missing Indy man with autism has been canceled

The Silver Alert issued for Christian Tackett was canceled Thursday night. CBS4 has reached out to police regarding his status.


INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A Silver Alert has now been declared for an Indianapolis man with autism who has been missing since about 7 p.m. on Monday, March 18.

Indiana State Police say 18-year-old Christian Tackett, aka DJ, is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical assistance. He has been diagnosed with autism, mild intellectual disability, and disruptive mood dysregulation disorder, according to police.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department had previously asked for the public to help find the missing teen on Thursday, March 21.

Police say Tackett is about 6 feet 1 inch tall, 140 pounds, with brown hair, and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue Starter brand jacket, a gray t-shirt with “Jesus” on the front, blue jeans, and blue tennis shoes.

Anyone with information regarding Tackett’s whereabouts is asked to call IMPD at 317-327-6540 or 911.
