LAWRENCE, Ind. – The façade of a Dollar General store collapsed in Lawrence on Tuesday.

First responders were called to the store in the 8000 block of Pendleton Pike shortly after 4 p.m.

Photos submitted by a viewer show the awning of the building collapsed on top of cars in the parking lot below.

“I was inside whenever we heard the bricks falling,” said a witness. “The ground was shaking, it felt kind of like an earthquake. It was pretty scary.”

Authorities at the scene said nobody was injured in the incident.

It’s unclear at this time what caused the collapse.
