IMPD investigating shooting that killed employee at near northeast side gas station

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – An employee at a near northeast side gas station died in an early Tuesday morning shooting.

It happened around 5 a.m. at a Shell gas station located at East 34th Street and North Sherman Drive. Indianapolis Metropolitan police said the victim was shot multiple times.

Police said the victim was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital, where he later died. He was identified as Sheriff Jallow, 50.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
