Finding a trusted advisor

There is a lot more that goes into buying and selling a home then just signing the paperwork or picking up the keys to move into your new home. Sean O’Conner, a trusted advisor of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Indiana Realty, describes the customized service that each client deserves and how he learned the ropes of real estate from a young age.

Being around real estate his whole life, O’Conner has seen generation real estate agent of his family. “Going around with my dad to his showings and meetings with buyers and seeing the way he interacted with people and the joy people received when my dad found the home for them made me want to follow in my dad’s footsteps. That is what my whole family did,” O’Conner said.

There have been many lessons that O’Conner has learned from his family. The biggest one he says is to always be trustworthy to your clients and treat them like family. “I have also been taught to make sure that their needs are taken care of and to just be a good person to all clients and use common sense.”

"Recently, homes are flying off the market, it’s crazy! During the recession it was not like that at all but now, homes are being sold in a week.”

Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Indiana Realty provides trusted advisors with great services that the agents then use to support their clients. “It’s a full service real estate company. The staff there is amazing with the paperwork and commissions. We have access to title services and in-house lenders that help us with flyers, marketing and websites. They provide us with absolutely everything we need to best serve our clients,” O’Conner said.
