I-65 northbound closed near 465 on south side after truck hits bridge column

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- A semi truck struck a bridge column on I-65 northbound Thursday, shutting down the interstate on the south side of Indianapolis.

The crash happened on I-65 northbound at the Hanna Avenue bridge. All lanes are expected to remain closed until about 3:30 p.m. About 100 gallons of fuel spilled during the crash and needed to be cleaned up.

Bridge inspectors say the bridge is okay structurally. No injuries were reported.
