INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Two lanes of northbound I-65 reopened Thursday morning after being closed overnight for repairs.

INDOT spokesman Nate Riggs says a hole developed on the I-65 bridge deck over East 10th St. near Mass Ave. As a result, some concrete debris fell onto the street below.

Crews made repairs Thursday morning and hoped to have it done before the morning rush. The work included fastening a board underneath the hole and pouring concrete from the top of the bridge deck.

INDOT also closed westbound 10th Street while the work was being done. According to Indianapolis Metropolitan police, east 10th Street and I-65 reopened around 7 a.m. after the work was complete.
