FORT WAYNE, Ind.– An Amber Alert has been canceled after Fort Wayne police say the abducted 2-year-old girl was dropped off at a restaurant.

Witnesses saw a man drop off the girl at Wendy’s on South Town Crossing around 4:20 p.m. The girl is OK and has been reunited with her mother, according to police.

Fort Wayne police initially said the girl was likely abducted by her father, Channing Scott. Police describe him as a 46-year-old black male, 5’10” tall with black dreadlocks and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark red shirt, gray sweatpants and black and white gym shoes.

Police say they are still searching for Scott and the car used to drop off the child. A witness described the suspect vehicle as a Buick that was gold in color with heavily tinted windows. Police say the vehicle also possibly had a faded blue and yellow “college fraternity” type plate on the front license plate bracket.

Police were originally searching for a red 2011 Hyundai Accent with Indiana license plate VKZ918.

Anyone with additional information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 436-7867.

Editor’s note: The child’s personal information has been removed from this story due to her status as a juvenile.
