UPDATE: Missing West Virginia woman found in New York, will be reunited with family
NEW YORK — A woman who disappeared on her way from Chicago to Indianapolis has been found in New York City.
According to WVNS, Deloris Ann Arnold was taken to Mount Sinai Beth Israel Hospital in New York City to get treatment for a mild infection. She gave doctors a phone number and verified her identity.
Family members planned to travel to New York to get her.
Arnold was last seen on July 13 at Union Station in Chicago and was thought to be headed for Indianapolis. She’d planned to take an Amtrak train but ended up on a bus instead.
According to police in West Virginia, Arnold may have been spotted in Indianapolis Monday night at 82nd Street and Allisonville Road.
Family members say Arnold suffers from dementia and takes several medications. She’s from White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia.
