Southbound US 31 back open in Carmel following 5-vehicle crash near 106th Street

CARMEL, Ind. — All southbound lanes of US 31 were closed near 106th Street in Carmel due to a crash Thursday.

The Carmel Fire Department says the lanes were reopened after crews cleared the roadway.

Fire officials say the crash involved five cars and six people suffered minor injuries.

The department says only one person was transported to a hospital.

It’s unclear at this time what caused the crash.
