Scene of double shooting on Medford Ave.

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A double shooting on the near west side of Indianapolis claimed the life of a man Wednesday night.

Police were called to the scene in the 1100 block of Medford Ave. shortly after 8 p.m. There, they found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

Officers say both were taken to Eskenazi Hospital. The man, later identified as 35-year-old Reggie Sean Taylor, succumbed to his injuries. The female remained in good condition.

Detectives believe both the male and female pulled out guns and shot each other following some type of verbal fight.

Police say there were no other gunmen involved in the incident. Officers are working to figure out who fired or pulled a gun first.
