I-65 back open after police chase ends in crash near Whiteland

JOHNSON COUNTY, Ind. –A police chase involving a stolen vehicle led to a crash that closed all lanes of southbound I-65 in Johnson County Sunday morning.

Officers utilized stop sticks to stop the vehicle near mile marker 94.4, east of the town of Whiteland.

Lanes were closed for multiple hours as crews cleaned up and investigated.

State police say the vehicle was stolen out of St. Louis, Missouri. The female driver was transported to Eskenazi for treatment of minor injuries. She has not been identified at this time.

An INDOT camera captured parts of the chase and crash.
