Pedestrian killed in hit-and-run on northeast side of Indianapolis, police searching for tan vehicle

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A pedestrian was killed Friday night in a hit-and-run on the northeast side of Indianapolis, according to police.

At around 10:50 p.m., 49-year-old Brian Harris was struck by a vehicle.

IMPD then arrived on-scene at the intersection of 38th St. and Arlington. EMS personnel arrived and pronounced Harris dead at the scene.

Detectives say that the suspect vehicle is tan or beige colored Nissan Sentra with front area bumper damage, as well as undercarriage damage.

After striking the victim the suspect vehicle is thought to have continued south on Arlington Avenue and then west onto 38th Street.

IMPD’s hit and run investigators are asking for anyone who has information on this vehicle to call the police at 317-262-8477.
