Grant County teacher’s child seduction charge dismissed
UPDATE – On Wednesday, the State of Indiana dismissed their case again Mitchel Hueston on a charge of child seduction.
He was facing a level 6 felony.
It is unclear at this time why the charge was dropped.
CONVERSE, Ind.– A Grant County teacher was arrested Friday on a charge of child seduction.
Mitchel Hueston has bonded out of the Grant County Jail since his arrest, officials confirmed.
Hueston is accused of fondling or touching a 16-year-old girl in the summer of 2016, according to the Grant County Sheriff’s office. At the time of his arrest, he was employed as a teacher at Oak Hill High School, located on the west side of Grant County.
Police say they were notified in early January 2017 of the allegations. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Feb. 9 and he turned himself in on Feb. 10.
Hueston was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of the investigation.
