Woman arrested on theft warrant after being rescued from east side pond

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A woman was arrested on a theft warrant out of Hancock County after crashing a vehicle into a retention pond on the east side of Indianapolis Sunday morning.

Police say 33-year-old Jessica Foster was rescued from the pond near the intersection of 25th and Post Road around 11:45 a.m.

Rescue divers with the Indianapolis Fire Department hooked the Chevy Tahoe Sport to remove it from the pond with a wrecker.

Metro police are investigating.
