One person killed in two-vehicle crash

AVON, Ind. –One person was killed in a crash near Avon Sunday night.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m., emergency crews were called to a vehicle crash at East County Road 100 South and South County Road 900 East.

That scene is just south of the Avon rail yard.

The initial report came in as a crash involving a pickup truck and a car with injuries and a person trapped.

Police confirm one person was killed.  A second person had non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators continue to look into what caused the crash.
