Victim awake and breathing after shooting on near west side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Police say one person was injured in a shooting Friday on the near west side.

Officers were called to the 2100 West Washington Street just after 3 p.m. on a report of a person shot.

A man was found shot in the stomach. He was awake and breathing while being transported to Eskenazi Health.

Police believe the shooting stemmed from a robbery.
