Dry today but rain and snow moves in for the second half of the weekend

Temperatures will run a couple of degrees below average today with an overcast sky. The breeze won't be as brisk and you can expect dry conditions.


Conditions will be dry for Lights at the Brickyard tonight with temperatures in the 30s.


Saturday will be dry. Folks headed in and out of Lucas Oil Stadium for the Big 10 Championship game on Saturday will have temperatures in the 30s. Kickoff with the Penn State Nittany Lions and the Wisconsin Badgers is at 8:17pm.


Our next precipitation chance will arrive in the form of rain and snow on Sunday. High temperatures will reach 40 so we're not anticipating accumulation on the roadways, but north of I-70 we could see a little slush develop on grassy surfaces.

Next week will be more unsettled with a larger rain event happening on Tuesday. 0.5" to 1" will fall on that day. An arctic blast rolls in for late next week with our first possible accumulating snowfall next Thursday.
