UPDATE: Police say Pike High School student died after single-car crash on northwest side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– A Pike High School student died in a Tuesday afternoon crash on the northwest side of Indianapolis.

Indianapolis Metropolitan police identified him Wednesday afternoon as 18-year-old Kam’ron Redding.

Officers were called to the 5900 block of Lafayette Road, south of West 62nd Street, just before 12:30 p.m. Tuesday in response to the single-car crash.

Redding was pronounced dead at the scene.
