Homeless man suffering from hypothermia, dehydration saved by first responders

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Local first responders teamed up this week to help save the life of a homeless man suffering from hypothermia and severe dehydration.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Downtown District Homeless Unit received word that the man had not shown up for regular outreach feedings, so officers visited his tent in a homeless camp and found him in bad condition.

With the help of the Indianapolis Fire Department, we’re told the officers saved the individual’s life.
