Teen killed in Bartholomew County crash

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. –One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash early Sunday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to a crash scene at Bartholomew County Roads 900 North and 350 East, northwest of Hope, Indiana.

Indiana State Police accident investigators, a pickup truck pulling a camper collided with a car.

Killed in the crash was 17-year-old Allyssia A. Christman of Edinburgh.  She was a passenger of the car driven by 19-year-old Austin D. Wade.  Wade was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital where he was treated and released for minor injuries.

The initial investigation indicates Wade was traveling west on County Road 900 North and for an unknown reason, pulled onto County Road 350 East and into the path of truck pulling the camper.
