Police: Man took worker’s purse from Family Dollar, used stolen credit cards to make purchases

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indianapolis Metropolitan police are looking for a man who may be responsible for a series of thefts.

According to IMPD, the man entered Family Dollar at 8083 Madison Ave. on Sept. 8, 2016, and took an employee’s purse from the stockroom. He then used the victim’s credit and debit cards to make unauthorized purchases, police said.

IMPD said the man may be connected to other cases in the Indianapolis area, specifically several thefts reported in the vicinity of West 86th Street.
