SHERIDAN, Ind.– Indiana State Police say a teen at the center of an Amber Alert was found safe in Terre Haute Monday night.

Police said the 17-year-old girl was abducted by Dustin Lee Fisher, 20. She was believed to be in extreme danger.

Fisher is an escaped convict out of Hancock County and is considered a violent sex offender.

Around 8:40 p.m. Monday, Indiana State Police said the teen was found safe in a public place after they used her cell phone to find her. Both her and Fisher were taken into custody.

Police say there are no indications that lead them to believe the teen was taken against her will.

“At this point though we’re going to look into every possibility during the investigation,” said Sgt. John Perrine, with Indiana State Police. “The Sheridan Police Department will continue this investigation.”

Fisher will face escape charges in Hancock County. There is no word if there will be charges from this incident. The prosecutor’s office will determine that.

Note: The teen’s photo, name and description have been removed from this story due to her being a juvenile.
