Gov. Pence releases federal tax returns
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– Indiana Governor Mike Pence released his federal tax returns Friday.
The Republican candidate for vice president and his wife, Karen, brought in $113,026 in adjusted gross income in 2015 and paid $8,956 in federal income taxes.
“The Pence family has been honored to serve their state and their nation for the past 16 years, while raising three great children and putting them through college,” said Marc Lotter, Gov. Pence’s press secretary. “These tax returns clearly show that Mike and Karen Pence have paid their taxes, supported worthy causes, and, unlike the Clintons, the Pences have not profited from their years in public service.”
The Trump/Pence 2016 campaign noted that the Pence family donates ten percent of their take-home pay to charity, which reflects, on average, 7.42 percent of their adjusted gross income.
Trump’s tax returns have not been made publicly available yet.
