Lafayette police search for two men who injured disabled veteran during home invasion

LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Police are searching for two men after they robbed and injured a disabled veteran in Lafayette.

Lafayette police responded to a report of a home invasion on the city’s east side Saturday night around 11 p.m.

The victim, who is a disabled veteran, told police two men entered his home, and one male displayed a handgun.

The suspects ransacked the house and injured the veteran when they knocked him to the ground

The first suspect was described as a heavy set black male wearing dark pants, a plaid shirt, and he was clean-shaven. The second suspect was described as a skinny black male in a plaid shirt.

Officers do not have any persons of interest at this time. This case is still under investigation.
