Auto theft task force recovers stolen trucks

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – An auto theft task force headed by the Indiana State Police and the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department recovered six Ford pickup trucks recently stolen from three different counties.

Acting on a tip, task force officers located a chop shop in an abandoned warehouse in the 1500 block of  East Dudley Drive on the southeast side of Indianapolis on Wednesday, Aug. 24. Authorities recovered six Ford F-250s and F-350s that are in various condition of disrepair with many parts having been removed. The trucks were reported stolen from Monroe, Marion and Hendricks counties.

No arrests have been made at this time and police said the investigation is ongoing. The recovered trucks are being processed and additional leads are being investigated.
