Police chase ends with suspect crashing into apartment building

INDIANAPOLIS – A man is in custody after police say he led them on a chase that ended in a crash early Wednesday morning.

According to police, officers were attempting to initiate a traffic stop when the suspect vehicle fled.

Officers pursued the vehicle until it hit the wall of an apartment building in the 3400 block of Mountain Laurel Place near 38th Street and North Sherman Drive.

After the crash, a K9 officer bit the suspect and he was apprehended by police.

According to officials, the suspect is in custody being treated for minor injuries.
