Police: Man hit victim with gun, took his wallet during west side robbery
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Indianapolis Metropolitan police need helping identifying a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery from January.
According to IMPD, the man confronted the victim at gunpoint on Jan. 22, 2016, near the 3100 block of North Watergate Road on the west side.
Police said the man knocked the victim to the ground with a black semiautomatic handgun. He then forced him to hand over his wallet and ordered the victim to give him the PIN for his debit card.
The man got into a dark green minivan with what police described as a “loud exhaust.” He then went to a business on the west side and tried unsuccessfully to use the card. After being unable to complete the transaction, he was seen getting away in a gold car.
