What a refreshing change today. MUCH lower humidity - dew points have dropped 10° to 16° from Saturday afternoon - and more sunshine. You will be able to enjoy the nicer weather for the start of the week.
COOLEST IN NEARLY TWO MONTHS
A cool Monday morning is on the way. Some may even think it is chilly. Overnight, temperatures will drop to the lower/middle 50°s in central Indiana.
This will be the coolest night since July 2 when the low was 53° in Indianapolis.
With dry air in place, temperatures shouldn't have any problems rebounding quickly.
High temperatures will be near Sunday's levels. Highs should top out around 79° in Indianapolis under sunny skies.
"MUGGLIES" RETURN MID-WEEK
Enjoy the lower humidity while you can because the humidity will quickly rise starting Wednesday as winds turn out of the south-southwest.
You'll notice the increase Wednesday, but you will likely feel it Thursday as dew points climb in to the lower to middle 70°s.
The humidity will return ahead of a cold front. Computer models suggest the front will slowly move through central Indiana, eventually stalling out just south of southern Indiana, Thursday.
As the front approaches Wednesday, a few isolated showers/thunderstorms will be possible, especially in western and northwestern sections of central Indiana. The front will lift moisture in the lower levels and produce showers and thunderstorms Thursday.
