State trooper’s vehicle struck by semi changing lanes in rain storm

HENRY COUNTY, Ind. – A semi driver struck an Indiana state trooper’s vehicle as he was changing lanes during a heavy rainstorm Sunday morning, according to police.

The incident happened at 9:25 a.m. on I-70 near the Knightstown exit in Henry County.

Police say the driver of the 2007 Peterbilt semi, Ronald Weber, 47, from Illinois, continued east for one mile before stopping. He was cited for unsafe lane movement. A sergeant with the Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division also cited him for a log book violation.

Police say the trooper driving the vehicle, Scott Keegan, 35, was checked at the scene for a complaint of back pain.
