Lawrence Police search two scenes following shooting

LAWRENCE. Ind.–Lawrence Police have two scenes to investigate following a shooting Sunday evening.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m. Lawrence police were called to the 8000 block of Louisville Drive on a report of shots fired at the Churchill Ranch Apartments.

Investigators say that is where a 27-year-old male was shot one time in the elbow.  The bullet may have gone into his torso.

According to police, the victim got into a car and drove to the nearby Phillips 66 gas station at East 42nd Street and North Franklin Road.

The victim was awake and breathing when he was taken to IU Health Methodist Hospital.  Police describe his injuries as non-life threatening.

The only description police have to go on is a male in his 20’s dressed in all black clothing.
