INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – People gathered in Ball Garden Park Saturday for a kite flying event that benefited children battling cancer and other serious illnesses at Riley Hospital for Children.

At the event, patients, their families, hospital staff and the public made and flew their own kites over the park.

“Fly 4 Life” attendees also ate, played games, won prizes and enjoyed the company of Doc McStuffins, Spiderman, and the Indianapolis Colts Cheerleaders.

A portion of the proceeds collected at the event went directly to the DNL Foundation and the Riley Children’s Foundation.
